Katherine:Hello everyone and thank you so much for joining us today on This Needs To Be Said. We have one of our friends of the family, friends of the show This Needs To Be Said, Miss Gina who’s going to come here with us from the family law office and they have a new office that they want to share information about on today. So, welcome back Gina, how are you?
Attorney Gina:I’m good. Hello Katherine.
Katherine:All right. Now, it sounds like you all are expanding. You’ve opened a new office, so tell us about where it’s located.
Attorney Gina:Absolutely. Family Law Matters did just open up our second office. Our main office is located in Temecula, California. However, we recently decided to open up a second office in Corona, California. It’s located off the 15 freeway, just south of the 91 freeway in Corona. Our location is 9036 Pulsar Court, Suite A in Corona, California.
Katherine:Now, this is your second office and congratulations for that. Why did you all choose your second location to be in Corona?
Attorney Gina:Well, Corona is a fast growing area and there’s a real need for Christian attorneys. Corona is filled with young families and unfortunately divorce is a reality in today’s society. However, when people get divorced, they don’t want to destroy the other side. They just want to move on with their lives. Sadly, attorneys have a reputation for making matters worse. At Family Law Matters, it’s our goal that our clients leave our office better off than when they first walked in and asked us for help.
Katherine:When did you open this office or has it opened already?
Attorney Gina:Yeah it’s open. It’s relatively new still. We opened it on November 1st, 2018.
Katherine:Okay. Yeah that is fairly new. Now, I understand with attorneys you can serve a certain area based on your license? I think is it because of your license? So where can you serve? Around Corona, how far out from that area can you serve or who do you serve in connection with that office? Does that make sense.
Attorney Gina:Absolutely. Sure. We serve Riverside County and San Bernardino. So, that would include the courthouses of Riverside, downtown San Bernardino and Hemet.
Katherine:Okay. Now you talked about Family Law Matters and in the name it tell us things that deal with family law, but break it down for the regular person. What does that mean? What do we come to you for? How do you help us?
Attorney Gina:Family Law Matters limits our practice exclusively to family law. So, that would include such things as a divorce, annulment, legal separation, domestic violence, child custody, child support, alimony, paternity, guardianship or adoption. Pretty much anything that has to do with kids or family, we’re your people.
Katherine:Okay. How many people do you have at your office? Well, I guess at both offices. How many attorneys do you have that can serve? Because you expressed a growing need in Corona to have attorneys that help. Christian, that think of family values. You need those kind of helpful attorneys. Not ones that make matters worse. So, how many do you have in your office that are available to help us?
Attorney Gina:We have a total of five attorneys. At the Corona office, there’s two. There’s myself, Gina Famularo. I’ve been practicing for 22 years now and we also have our senior attorney there. Her name is Kristie Bergamo. She has extensive experience in litigation. She’s been licensed to practice law since 2002 and she’s worked as a temporary judge in both Los Angeles and Orange County.
Katherine:Oh wow.
Attorney Gina:She’s also handles many minors counsels cases. She’s represented children at the request of the courts and she’s even taught classes on how other lawyers can help children by representing them.

Katherine:Wow, so you all have a lot. You have varied experiences that even being a temporary judge she can say, “Okay, this is what the judge is looking for so you have more insight on how to help each family that comes through there. I’m going to ask this question. I don’t want it to seem rhetorical because I think we’ve expressed it but what’s different about your law practice as opposed to others that people may run in to?
Attorney Gina:That’s a great question. As I alluded to before, we’re a Christian firm and frankly, I don’t know of any other law firm that blends their Christian faith with their law practice. We pray every morning in our office for ourselves, our families and our clients and we see ourselves not only as a law practice but as a ministry. Our motto and it’s written on the wall of both offices is from Romans 8:28. All things work together for good for those who love God. That’s a reminder not only to our clients, but to us that no matter how bad things get, God is always there with a greater plan.
Attorney Gina:So, it’s our job to teach our clients to trust the Lord and to know that there are greater blessings on the other side of this trial.
Katherine:Absolutely. Is there anything else you want to add that you want the people to know about?
Attorney Gina:Absolutely. Our mission statement at Family Law Matters is that we protect you and your loved ones using Christian principles. So, what that means is that we provide excellent legal service. We competently and zealously represent our clients. We maintain the highest ethical standard. We provide superb legal services at an affordable price and we shine the light of Christ using patience and kindness.
Katherine:I know that may be hard for you the listeners of This Needs To Be Said if you’ve ever had to deal with an attorney. It may not have been the attorney, just your feelings about an attorney because we have heard that it’s bad. You gotta go to an attorney, it must be bad. You said it nicely. People just want to move on with their lives most times when there’s a divorce. They don’t want to hurt anyone, they just want to move on, but we’ve seen where people have hurt each other in an effort to move on and we’re not making the point we need to make and we’re damaging the family and it sounds like you all have found a formula to be able to care and serve and not make the attorney experience feel bad or like you’ve failed.
Katherine:No, we’re here to help you. You want to move on. This part no longer serves you so we’re going to help you. Or if it’s an adoption, that’s a happy time. So, you’re having someone to help you bring your family, add someone to your family so I enjoy what you bring whenever you come, whenever anyone comes from Family Law Matters to talk with us and it shows that there are attorneys with compassion which I’m liking. I’m liking that and I’m glad that you added that. Do you offer free consultations for people to see if your offices can help them?
Attorney Gina:We typically charge $150 consultation fee. However, anybody that hears this message and anybody that would like a consultation, if they mention this show we’ll waive it.
Katherine:All right. How do they get in touch with you if they need help?
Attorney Gina:Sure. Sure. If anybody would like to consult with us, they’re welcome to go on our website which is mycustodydivorce.com. Our phone number is 951-261-7377. That’s 951-263-7377 and we’re located once again at 9036 Pulsar Court, Suite A, Corona, California. Give us a call. It will be our honor to help.
Katherine:Gina, thank you so much for coming and I look forward to speaking to you again on This Needs To Be Said. Much success with your new office and the families that you’re going to help and until next time, have a wonderful day.
Attorney Gina:Thank you and God bless you.
Katherine:Thank you.
Attorney Gina:Bye bye.
